Aesthetics Biomedical has on the market, The Vivace™, a best in class microneedling device with radiofrequency (RF). In recent years, minimally invasive treatments such as microneedling have rose in popularity with patients moving away from invasive cosmetic treatment and other treatments that require ample amounts of downtime. Microneedling, sometimes referred to as collagen induction therapy (CIT), is shown to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating collagen and elastin production through the natural mechanisms of tissue remodeling.

There are 3 key healing phases after microneedling: inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. A typical microneedling device includes several fine-tipped needles at the end of the hand piece that creates micro-channels within the skin and in turn signals the body’s natural inflammation response. After inflammation, cell proliferation takes place where it is regulated by electro-taxis. Electro-taxis occur when the needles penetrate the skin, activating key electrolytes that regulate the electric potential of the surrounding area. This regulation stimulates DNA-expression of the epithelial and endothelial cells, causing gene expression and then producing growth factors to facilitate healing and tissue remodeling. The Vivace™ takes advantage of this natural remodeling process to give the patient a younger more natural feel of their skin.
