Our Goal

The goal of Aesthetic Biomedical’s Clinical Advisory Board is to bring together the most trusted physicians and aesthetics practitioners to provide advice and counsel to ABM in all aspects of business strategy as relates to clinical devices, products and services, and to help ensure the highest level of integrity in product development, safe and efficacious clinical studies, and the validation of clinical study outcomes and reporting. The Clinical Advisory Board is a small group of credentialed, well-respected and experienced clinical experts in aesthetics and dermatology that can provide ongoing advice in support of the innovations at ABM.

Stephen Ronan MD, FACS

Dr. Stephen J. Ronan MD FACS is an award-winning plastic surgeon performing thousands of surgery procedures every year in the Blackhawk Surgery Center. Dr. Ronan has been named one of the Top Plastic Surgeons in America by the nation’s leading providers of information on doctors. He was also voted Best in The Bay, and one of the Top 3 Hair Restoration Surgeons in America 2015, by Aesthetic Everything Beauty Network, a panel of industry leaders and fellow surgeons.

From high-fashion magazines like Glamour, to national TV appearances on The Doctors, Dr. Ronan is sought after by the media to provide expertise on the newest cosmetic innovations.

Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, he scored in the 99th percentile on his Plastic Surgery in- service exam. Dr. Ronan is a member of multiple professional organizations and is the founder of the American Society of Hair Restoration. He is also a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgery, The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, The American Society of Maxillofacial Surgery, The American College of Surgeons, The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, The Aesthetic Society Education and Research Foundation, The Plastic Surgery Education Foundation, The American Society for Laser Medicine, The Heritage Society of the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, The American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine, and The Maliniac Circle (Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation). Additionally, he is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Burn Life Support, and he is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons.

SteVEN DAYAN MD

Dr. Steven Dayan, a facial plastic surgeon, professor and researcher has published over 110 articles in medical journals and 5 books. He is a NY Times and USA TODAY Best Selling Author.  His accolades include the American Medical Association (AMA) Foundation’s Leadership Award and “Top Doc” recognition by numerous organizations including Castle Connolly and U.S News & World Report. As a founder of a medical research company, a medical marketing company, a skin care training center and a medical education company, he remains on the cutting edge of aesthetic products, thinking and education.

Dr. Steven Dayan has published over 110 articles in medical journals and 5 books.

He is a member of ASAPS, AAPFRS, ASDS and serves in an elected position within the Facial Plastic Surgery society as well as on the editorial board of Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery Journal ASJ (the official journal for ASAPS), Facial Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology. He is the current Co-editor of Modern Aesthetic Magazine. He has authored 5 books. But it is in his role as an adjunct professor —teaching a popular undergraduate course: The Science of Beauty and Its Impact on Culture and Business – that his Best Selling book Subliminally Exposed is based. An engaging educator, internationally recognized keynote speaker, and big thinker with an insatiable appetite for deeper knowledge and understanding of human behavior, Dr. Dayan is known for his ability to challenge the status quo and conventional wisdoms of medicine.

ROBERT KELLAR phd

Dr. Robert Kellar is the current President of the Surfaces in Biomaterials Foundation and the Chief Science Officer for Axolotl Biologix. He has over 18 years of experience in the development and regulatory approval of medical devices, cell-based products, and regenerative medicine and tissue engineered technology. He has 133 scientific abstracts, 31 peer-reviewed publications, and 4 issued US patents. He received his PhD from the University of Arizona in 2001.

He has over 18 years of experience in the development and regulatory approval of medical devices, cell-based products, and regenerative medicine and tissue engineered technology.

Dr. Kellar has helped to co-found a number of companies including Development Engineering Sciences, a biomedical consulting firm, Flagship Biosciences, a digital pathology company, and Autogenesis Corporation, a wound healing company. He serves as an Advisory Board Member for Protein Genomics, a protein polymer medical device company, and the California Stock Exchange.

WENDY ROBERTS MD

Dr. Wendy E. Roberts MD is a graduate of Stanford Medical School with three post graduate degrees, which include Surgery, Dermatology and Dermatopathology where she completed a fellowship at New York University Medical Center. She is Double Board Certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. She is Founding Director of Dermatopathology at Loma Linda University Medical Center. She alone, pioneered and developed Generational Dermatology™ which is a detailed system of age management. She is founder of the Roberts Skin type Classification System® as seen on The Today Show™.

She alone, pioneered and developed Generational Dermatology™ which is a detailed system of age management.

Her skin type system is used by Doctors around the globe to keep their skin of color patients safe while undergoing cosmetic procedures.

GRANT STEVENS MD, FACS

Grant Stevens, MD, FACS, is the founder and medical director of Marina Plastic Surgery and the Marina Med Spa in Marina Del Rey, California. He is a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Southern California, Chairman of the USC-Marina Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship and the Director of the USC Division of Aesthetic Surgery. He is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons.

Dr. Stevens has authored more than 90 articles and chapters on aesthetic plastic surgery.

ZOE DIANA DRAELOS, MD

Zoe Diana Draelos, MD, is a research and clinical board-certified dermatologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is in solo private practice in High Point, North Carolina, and a Consulting Professor of Dermatology at Duke University. In 1988, she founded Dermatology Consulting Services, PLLC, to initiate and perform research in aging skin, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, actinic keratoses, eczema, and aesthetic procedures in the cosmetic, OTC drug, and pharmaceutical arenas.

Prior to pursuing a medical career, Dr. Draelos completed an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and was elected a Rhodes Scholar. A member of Sigma Xi research honorary and Alpha Omega Alpha medical honorary, she is author of 14 books including Cosmetics in Dermatology and Hair Cosmetics and Cosmetic Dermatology: Products and Procedures, as well as the editor of Cosmeceuticals, now in its third edition and translated into 5 languages.
